23rd Nov. 2024: HXR members take part in Plymouth Climate Summit

On 23rd November, HXR members braved the bad weather to take part in Plymouth’s well attended Climate March and Summit. Billed as “a space for the voices of everyone who believes in fighting the climate crisis and standing up for climate justice”, there were speakers, a free vegan lunch and a series of workshops including ‘Climate Science and implications for Climate Justice’, ‘Demystifying the COPs and what we can do about them’, ‘Uprooting colonial & capitalist approaches to the Climate Crisis’ and ‘Climate Anxiety’.

HXR members took part in all elements of the day and were involved in running two popular stalls, ‘Writing to those in Prison’ and HXR’s climate board game
