28th March 2026: XR health workers and scientists join hundreds of thousands on march against far-right in central London
On 28th March a group of HXR members and XR Scientists joined hundreds of thousands of people from across the UK as they marched through London in what the organisers believe was the largest ever demonstration against the far right in British history.

The Together Alliance was backed by around 500 charities, trade union and campaign groups united against the far right and representing overĀ 15 million people. This diverse crowd of all ages joined with a separate Palestine Coalition march before converging on Whitehall near the Houses of Parliament.
The event was supported by a number of left wing MPs and high profile figures including actors, musicians and comedians. There were speeches and musical performances.
Marchers’ placards diplayed a range of issues highlighting the need to respond to the climate emergency, inequalities, ractism and importance of hope over hate. Our members carried placards reflecting the same issues, with a health focus.

The organisers estimated that half a million people took part in the march. The Metropolitan Police claimed the number was much lower, but admitted the number was difficult to count.
