11th April 2026: 9 health workers arrested at Everyone Day for peacefully opposing Palestine Action ban

On 11th April healthworkers joined hundreds of sign holders at ‘Everyone Day’ in Trafalgar Square to peacefully protest against the ban on Palestine Action and the threats to our human right to protest and our democracy.

Despite the Home Secretary’s ban on Palestine Action being declared unlawful by the High Court, and despite the Met Police stating they would not carry out arrests until the Government had appealed this decision, the police arrested 523 people holding signs stating “I oppose terrorism, I support Palestine Action”. At least nine health professionals were arrested under the UK terrorism act, merely for holding a sign. Many leading lawyers believe the arrests were unlawful.

The Government’s appeal is expected to take place at the end of April
